Outdoor activities in Mykonos

Apart from dancing and clubbing, there’s a vast range of activities to do in Mykonos. Whether you are a novice or experienced all activities are provided by experienced instructors, all you do is enjoy. Transportation to and from your hotel to the location or starting point of your chosen activity can be provided if required. Hiking

Hiking isn't as popular in Mykonos as in smaller Cyclades islands. But being a relatively flat island makes it a pleasant activity, a perfect escape from the crowds, buzzing beach bars, and an opportunity to enjoy a more peaceful day appreciating the stunning views of the island.

Why not venture from Mykonos town to the Armenistis Lighthouse, a 4-mile walk, at the northwest tip of the island. Or go on an organized hiking excursion and discover the lesser-known Mykonos Take a break and swim at one of the remote secluded beaches of the island. Head for the fields in Ano Mera and then down to Myrsini Beach away from crowds and umbrellas and cool off in the shallow green waters. They will provide you all you need: a backpack, water, a snack, and perhaps a traditional walking hook-stick for support when needed.

Lia beach

Although it has been discovered by tourist it remains tranquil for relaxation and a good swim.
It's a sandy clean beach with crystal clear waters, umbrellas and sunbeds are available too. You also find good restaurants for lunch and refreshments. It is excellent for swimming, snorkeling, and diving to explore the underwater beauty Mykonos.

Windsurfing

Southwest of the island in the lesser populated Mykonos. Ftelia the best, for windsurfing due to its location, and constant northern winds 'meltemia', it’s beautiful, with crystal clear turquoise waters, beginners love it and not only. Kalafatis bay is never too crowded, ideal for a relaxing surfing experience. The Windsurf Center provides all necessary equipment, and there’s a shop for accessories and clothing as well. At the beach, you have all facilities and a beach bar-restaurant for relaxing time.

Bike rides

Why not rent a bike or book a bike tour. Enjoy one of the approximately 20 cycling trails on Mykonos. Just choose the distance and difficulty of the trail, a half-day or full-day tour, and if you don't feel fit enough there's also the option of e-bike. Explore the authentic side of Mykonos, riding through the rugged countryside, among the fields, the stunning landscape, and picturesque whitewashed isolated village homes.
